A SPORTIER EVOLUTION
The new Model 01 GTS collection builds on the Model 01s slim, 39mm case architecture and takes it in a new and sportier direction, with a sandblast finish to the case and bracelet, and a dial aesthetic that draws inspiration from a classic design from MONCEAU's heritage.
The initial allocation of the Model 01 GTS is limited to only 150 pieces, with deliveries expected in January 2027.
THREE DIAL COLOURS, THREE AUTOMOTIVE STORIES
Where the Model 01’s contoured dial evoked the natural sand patterns made by wind and water, the GTS looks instead to the paint colours of iconic cars from the 1960s and ‘70s – two of these drawn from road-going classics, one from a legendary racing livery – translating them into three new dial finishes, each with a fine radial brushing.
IRION AZURE
‘Irion Azure’ combines a blue fumé base with bold orange and blue accents, drawn from the colours of the pre-cursor to the now famous Gulf Oil racing livery.
In 1966, Gulf Oil executive Irion “Grady” Davis bought a dark blue road-going GT40 with chassis no. P/1049. In early 1967, the car was transformed in to a race car, and a broad orange stripe and the Gulf Oil logo were added to its dark blue paintwork.
P/1049 was driven to sixth place overall – and a class win – at the 1967 Daytona 24 Hours, co-driven by Jacky Ickx.
Later in the 1967 season, the car was repainted in the powder-blue and marigold-orange scheme that would later become one of the most famous liveries in motorsport.
DRIVEN BY AN ELABORÉ GRADE SWISS MOVEMENT
At the heart of the Model 01 GTS is the same Elaboré grade Sellita SW210-1 hand-winding calibre that powers the Model 01.
Manual-wind calibres were commonly used in MONCEAU watches from the 1950s to the 1970s. But our choice of a hand-winding movement is more than simply a nod to the past, it also allows the case of Model 01 GTS to be extremely slim, at just 8.4mm thick.
Our Elaboré grade movements are regulated in three positions, ensuring greater accuracy and consistent timekeeping in day-to-day wear than their standard-grade equivalent.
They are also more highly decorated, with rhodium-plated bridges finished with Côtes de Genève striping and signed with the MONCEAU logo, which are visible through the Model 01 GTS's exhibition caseback.
STRAP OR BRACELET? YOU DECIDE
The Model 01 GTS is offered on a new, bespoke-design FKM rubber strap with sandblasted hardware, or on a flat link, sandblasted stainless steel bracelet with a quick-release system which allows it to be easily interchanged with a conventional strap.
Can't decide? The Model 01 GTS is available with both the FKM rubber strap and stainless steel bracelet as a combination, which offers exceptional value.
