The Model 01 Collection
The Model 01 marked the revival of the brand.
A modern and versatile 39mm sports watch, the Model 01 has a 316L stainless steel case measuring just 8.4mm thick, and a faux-integrated bracelet design that enables it to be paired with a conventional strap.
The beating heart of the Model 01 is an Elaboré grade, Swiss hand-winding movement ,with 42 hours of power reserve, which is visible through the exhibition case back.
Vintage inspiration. Modern interpretation.
The design of the Model 01's signature case and bracelet was subtly influenced by MONCEAU watches from the 1970s and the raised box crystal is reminiscent of timepieces from this period. These classic lines are balanced by a dial that's packed with modern details.
Compact and versatile
With a 39mm case crafted from 316L stainless steel that measures just 8.4mm thick (excluding crystal), the Model 01 is extremely compact and slim.
It offers exceptional comfort and wearability, even on smaller wrists, for true unisex appeal.
Removable end links allow the stainless steel bracelet to be interchanged with a conventional strap for a more relaxed look. A Saffiano Leather strap in a range of colours is also available for the Model 01.
Contoured dials
The contoured dials are inspired by the patterns created by wind and water: as seen in the red sand dunes outside Riyadh, the frozen and windswept deserts of the Antarctic or the black volcanic sand of Reynisfjara beach in Iceland.
The solid lume indices are cast from Swiss Super-LumiNova® and offer exceptional legibility whether day or night.
Swiss movement and Swiss Made
Powering the Model 01 is the Elaboré Grade calibre SW210-1, a Swiss made, hand-winding movement with 42 hours of power reserve.
The Elaboré Grade version of this movement features rhodium plated bridges with Côtes de Genève finishing, whilst also offering greater accuracy than the Standard Grade version of the SW210-1.
Why did we choose a hand-winding movement? The original MONCEAU models produced between the 1950s and 1970s were all powered by hand-winding movements, so it seemed truly fitting to revert to a manual winding calibre for the watch that marks the relaunch of the brand.
And just like the original MONCEAU watches of bygone eras, the Model 01 is manufactured and assembled in Switzerland.
