Olympic gold medallist David Verburg has been wearing the Model 01 in Icelandic Black — sharing it across Instagram and TikTok in recent weeks, away from the track and the spotlight that once defined him.
A glittering career
Verburg won gold as part of the USA 4x400m relay team at the 2016 Rio Games.
His career reads like a study in consistency under pressure: gold at the 2013 and 2015 World Championships, gold again at the 2014 World Indoor Championships, and eleven All-American honours earned during his years at George Mason University.
Since retiring from competition, he has moved into coaching, passing that same discipline on to the next generation of sprinters and hurdlers.
Off the clock
